Welcome to Counselor's Corner!
I am so excited to be working with families and students as they transition into post-high school endeavors. As the new academic advisor, my job is to oversee students' academic success at PCS, so they can graduate and go onto college or wherever. I oversee SAT/ACT testing, offer college application help, scholarship help, etc.
I want to help students with this process, whether it is college, trade school, or wherever the Lord is leading you. This can be a nerve wracking time, however, it IS a season, one which we will get through together. I figured the best way to communicate with you is through the Google Classroom. I will be posting resources under the CLASSWORK tab within Google Classroom. Nothing is mandatory, but it is simply a resource to help. I will also post resources here for parents who may not have access to their child's Google Classroom. Michigan Based Scholarship
Looking for scholarships that are specific to the county that you live in??? Of course you are! Here's a link!
*MI Student Aid houses a database of Michigan place-based scholarships. A Michigan place-based scholarship means that one of the scholarship components is linked to a Michigan school, county, city or region. The database does not contain Michigan scholarships without a place-based component. While the MI Student Aid database is an excellent source for local scholarships, a successful scholarship application strategy should also include national, state, and college/institutional scholarship applications.
