High School
High School
Parkway Christian is so much more than just another high school. We are strong in so many areas — academics, athletics, performing arts, student life, and more — but that just scratches the surface. We aspire to be an extraordinary high school in Macomb County with the heart and soul of Christ. We focus on Christian character development while conducting our instruction through the lens of a Biblical worldview. We don’t just teach students about the Bible; we help them better understand the gifts and talents that God has given them. Then we inspire them to explore how to use these gifts to help the world around them. In fact, this is an integral part of our curriculum.
STRONG CURRICULUM, INCLUDING BIBLE
In our High School, we endeavor to offer a broad curriculum for our academic programs of study using differentiated instruction, including honors and AP classes. We recognize that students come to us with many different backgrounds and abilities, and that our programs must be designed to meet the needs of all students, helping each one reach their full potential. Proverbs 22:6 admonishes us to: “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” Our belief is that by concentrating on the gifts and abilities of each student, integrating the biblical worldview in each subject, and offering a comprehensive curriculum that includes classes for a wide variety of students, we are fulfilling this directive. In addition, we believe students attending Christian schools should have ample opportunity to learn from the Bible, and therefore, Bible is considered not just a spiritual class but an academic one as well. Our dual accreditation from Christian School International and AdvancedEd also helps us achieve just that.
