Challenging Minds
We seek to carry out our vision of Challenging Minds through the use of both traditional and differentiated instruction that best meets the learning needs of each student. The elementary curriculum includes: Bible, reading, spelling, language arts, handwriting, math, social studies, and science. Students learn through hands-on projects, small and whole group lessons, activities and field trips. Each subject is taught through the lens of a biblical worldview while meeting the state and national standards.
Capturing Hearts
Through daily Bible class, weekly and monthly Scripture memory, weekly chapels, ministry groups, and service projects like Mission Monday’s, our students are reminded that no matter what we do, we are to do all to the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31b) because God gives us the strength to do so (Philippians 2:13).
Cultivating Gifts
In keeping with our vision of Cultivating Gifts, students also attend physical education, music, art, computer, and library. Each elective is taught through the lens of a biblical worldview, reminding our students that God has given us these gifts/talents to use for His glory and the good of others. Upper elementary students are also given leadership opportunities by serving the younger students in Book Buddies and Awards Chapel. Elementary students at Parkway are also provided with a variety of extracurricular activities that help to further develop their gifts and talents.
